Christmas Cards. Check.

I mentioned a few posts back that there would be a little article in Luxe magazine on Trey and Mercy Street.

It came out last week you can read the interview here.

Trey was, as always, most articulate and spoke from the heart and I'm so thankful that Linda Faulkner was able to make some complete sentences out of my stuttering and verbal hopscotch.

I'm also incredibly thankful that we now have a photo for our Christmas cards.

I may actually get them out on time this year.

P.S. The boy blowing the bubbles is Cornpop. How great is that name?

That IS a beautiful picture! I am dreading taking one this year--the kids are all at bad picture-taking ages. :-) Plus, what to wear? The age-old question......

The interview was wonderful--I loved getting a closer peek into your ministry!

The article is great, but my goodness, Melissa -- you are GORGEOUS! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of you before today. Wow!

You do not know me, but i must tell you how very very blessed i have been by your blog for the past 6 months or so! Your blog is literally my very favorite to visit! You refresh, remind, encourage and make me belly laugh all in the same moment! So i just want to say "thank you" for your sweet words that are truly refreshment to the bones! I think of you and pray for you every time i read your blog! May the Lord continue to fill you with Himself as you are giving out so much for the sake of His name. You are making an impact both in your immediate community and in so many lives that you do not even know...like myself in Austin, Texas! Blessings to you and your sweet crew!

That article is incredible. And so is the picture of you all.

I wish I could have God's view and see all of the ways that article will be used by Him.

btw, I didn't notice the yellow couch being ugly, or the dirt on the windows and I read your April post after seeing the article. ;)

have already read it more than once, as I do many of your posts. you've kept me laughing on some lonely days! we are thinking about returning stateside in December maybe to an urban area and I have so many questions but I think there are major technical difficulties with our emails as I haven't heard from you since the fall and have sent you lots of things (like our baby's birth announcement!)and that I know you would have wanted to get. will you email me when you have a minute in the next couple of weeks? we all miss you very much and have loved the blog keeping us up to speed. ricapitt@gmail.com or rpittman@bcm.edu

Okay this is so crazy... somehow I found your blog in my random procrastination... (which is what I am doing right now by the way) and I read it because I am interested in urban ministry and because you are so funny. When I saw this post, Mercy Street rang a bell in my head. My husband is a Wesley Foundation Director at Ole Miss and I realized that a friend of ours has left the Arkansas Wesley to join your ministry! How cool is that? So now I am thinking that I know you. Is that okay? :)
