A little somethin' sunny.

Merry Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with your family, friends, and eating your weight in cookies and Peppermint Patties.

I'm assuming, for the sake of assumptions here, that the majority of people who read my blog are women. With that being said, I will further assume that most of you have done a slew of Christmas shopping, baking, delivering, and class party planning over the last several weeks. Furthermore, I will assume that, in all your shopping, serving, quilting (not really), tree decorating, and general selflessnesslessness, that a little sussy, just for you, might make you smile.

If you happen to be a gentleman, then this would be the perfect treat for that little lady in your life who's made your Christmas delightful. That phrase sounds like something my grandmother would say.

Guess what?!?!?! I have just the thing!!!

Adeline over at Etsy's Intrigued has gorgeous, unique, beautiful, charming, one-of-a-kind jewelry and she sent me these earrings to give to one lucky winner! I love her creations. They're perfect for gifts or to keep all to yourself.

The colors are great and warm and will be perfect when you need a little mid-January sunshine!

Head on over to her shop and look around. Then, come back and leave a comment. Aren't I bossy? I know. I'll draw a winner on Friday, January 2nd!!!

Nanny here! Can she make these for non-pierced ears? I love her designs but, as you know, I am one of two women over 20 with no holes in the ears. Hope you have lots of contestants!
Love you!

oooooooooooooooo i really do like her stuff! unique - she's got a good eye. i just had baby 3 with my oldest just turning 4 - so i have "misplaced" EVERY SINGE PAIR OF EARRINGS I ONCE OWNED. I'm just hoping that none of the kids swallowed them....anywho - it's time for a new pair of earrings so i hope i win - thanks for doing the give away & I LOVE your blog.

I'll throw my name in this hat. I think my children are actually getting old enough that I can wear these without fear of serious earlobe injury.

Cute - I like the necklace that has a key on in with an "f" :)

I love the earrings, but I'm really just leaving you a comment to tell you that I'm adding you to my blog roll instead of just lurking. Thanks for being a great read!

I love contests--especially shopping contests! Remember those shows where people are given a large amount of money and they have to collect as many groceries as possible in a set amount of time? I've always wanted to do that and have actually spent time thinking about what I would pick. Anyway...the earrings on that site are fabulous--great colors. The Summer II, the Blue Fire, the Tangerine, the Moss, and the Speckled are my faves.

Those ARE pretty! Etsy can be overwhelming at times (I could spend hours there!) and I love when people provide good tips on where to look. :)

Just adding my name to the pot. Also wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and praying for you as you try to make decisions regarding the boys. (I just got back from a trip to see family for the holiday so I'm reading both entries at once.) I often have the same thoughts you were sharing when I am fussing at my kids for repeating inappropriate behavior or for acting selfishly - this is what God feels with me maybe - this exasperation and disbelief - like "Oh my gosh, did you not hear me the first time? Did you not learn your lesson before? Do you not understand how much better we have it than so many others?" He must just want to shake me sometimes or bang His head into the wall. Actually, I doubt God gets the urge to bang His head into a wall, but you know what I mean! That is why we have kids, isn't it - to give us some idea how much God loves us and also to give us an idea of how much we must disappoint and frustrate Him. I pray that you will get a clear message about what you should do in this situation.
