Oh, Praise Him.

Trey showed me this video a while back and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

There's something so incredible and honest about it. Take a minute and watch it and let me know what you think.

you know.. I have seen this before and what I love about it is the reality that there will always be SOOO MUCH going on around the midst of our circumstances I must learn to still worship the LORD and not allow all the the distractions of this world hinder me from what I was created to do..WORSHP the ONE TRUE LIVING GOD.... no matter how difficult, no matter how loud the world may seem.. i must fight to block it all out... I managed to get that and so much more out of that video..not sure.. but living in the hood will do some thangs to the way you see life

love you !!

Powerful every time I view it! Oh, to be able to praise and worship Him as King, oblivious to the noise and bustle all around us. Too often, for me I find, the noise and distraction is from within my own soul. May He equip us all with the grace necessary to "fix our eyes on Him", to "be still and know that He is God."
Thanks for this, Melissa.
Love you.
P.S. I see I'm posting as Bill!

You know, this is something we just started studying in bible study. I LOVE it. Prayer and praise are not just at certain times during the day, but should be infiltrated into our everyday lives...whatever we're doing and wherever we are.
Love the video, and what a great image to remember this by.

It's Laura, Delta (Common Ground Montgomery)'s friend. I have random question to ask you. Can you get me your email address?

WOW! Love it and cannot wait to watch it over and over. I am inspired and challenged. Inspired to WORSHIP ALOUD despite the distractions of our lives & the world we live in. And challenged at the thought of what I would have thought if I was one of the hurried people passing by on the busy streets of NYC. Would I have noticed him, assumed he was just another peculiar street person, or joined him in praising the One worthy of our praise.
Your blog continues to inspire and challenge me.
Thanks Melissa!
Love & Blessings,

That made my insides all unbelievably jumpy.

Praise Him, indeed. :)

He's doing what the rest of us have been tempted to do but didn't because we don't wanna look "odd". But what's odd about praising God? Oh for some of the fearlessness!

and convicting!

Loved it when Trey sent it awhile back- honest and so convicting as I often allow the noise of my day to distract and keep me from simply praising Him.

Thanks for the reminder again today!

ok so I almost didn't watch it b/c it was 6 minutes, but glad I did!

Really great...makes me want to figure out my Ipod and get Gini to give me some ideas of what to put on it.

Thank you for sharing the reminder to praise Him in the midst of the distractions!

I love that song! Though I had already seen this, I loved being reminded of it again.

Melissa, this is EXACTLY what I needed this morning. I think God had you share it for my selfish, grumpy, easily-distracted heart today. I'm broken by it. THAT is how I truly desire to be... all about Jesus, following His will no matter the cost, and worshipping Him with abandon! Thank you, sister, for giving me the smack upside the head that I needed. Back on the right track now. xo

I'm stealing this fyi. Deal with it. ;)
