Arizona.

Yesterday morning, Graham, Sadie and I boarded a Southwest beauty at 7:00 a.m. for a visit to their Grandaddy's house in Scottsdale, Arizona. Everytime I say that out loud, I think, "I got me some baby grub, baby wipes, diapers, them disposable kind. I also got a package of balloons." "They blow up into funny shapes and all?" "No, just circular." HAHAHAHAHA! Quick, name that movie.

I've never seen two children more excited about a Sprite and honey roasted peanuts in my life. Please remind me of their penchant for these things when it comes time to do a little Christmas shopping this year. As a matter of fact, I may just stick a few packs in my purse on our way back and call it done.

Dallas has exactly 6.8 days of Spring each year and there are actually days where you might need to throw a sweater on for about half the day so as I was packing, I kept thinking I needed to make sure I brought some sweaters/jackets for the kids.

We got off the plane and it was 100 degrees. I think my mascara melted off.

But, you know, it's a 'dry heat', kind of like fire, so we're all good.

Actually, we're having a great time. The kids have been swimming for fifteen hours straight. They ate dinner in the pool, brushed their teeth in the pool, and finally fell asleep in the pool. Not really but they did basically pass out at 7:30 last night.

This morning, they were up at 6:30 swimming in the pool. The great thing is, there's absolutely no need for bathing with this much chlorine. Can I get an Amen?

Ya'll have a great weekend!

Our pool hasn't seen this much action since we moved into the house. It's great having them here...stay tuned for today's activities (Phoenix Children's Museum followed by another 15 hours in the pool)on tomorrow's update - there may even be a surprise additional 2 kids going but you know Melissa the more the merrier!!!......can't wait to see the photos that Grandpa Steve is taking.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm so glad a you had the opportunity to enjoy our sunshine and of course ...the heat. A dry heat mind you. But I have to say it seems like it keeps getting warmer earlier in the season. I actually love the winters here best so I cana wear a sweater. I'll have to check back on your posts to see how you're enjoying your stay.

That looks like some good times!!! I think I will go wiggle into some kind of a swimsuit, tie a raft to our boat dock, and just lay in the humidified sunshine for a while :)

Yes, AMEN! Can't wait for Summer when I can count a day at the pool as "bathtime", too.
HA!
We've got some great "wet" heat up here - kind of like yours in Dallas. Except with some hot wind thrown in. :-)

You guys have a fabulous time! Other than the green hair, I think the kids will be fine with 15 hrs/day in the pool! Love the Grahamster's laid-back look!!
Hi to Maxine and Steve!

Love,
Candy

I cannot imagine the concern with the heat...it is Spring here. In a couple months you will be wearing a light jacket when it is 100 degrees.

Love having you all here.

Sounds divine! We had a perfect Spring day here in Ontario, Canada but those tend to be few and far between sometimes. I think our entire weekend forecast is rain!

Enjoy the hot Arizona sun... and be sure to put on your sunscreen... waterproof preferably!
