Bible Giveaway!!

My mother-in-law described someone the other day as a "lover of God's word."  What a beautiful description.  The Word of God is His love letter to his people and where else can we find all that is "necessary for life and godliness" but there?  I long to love his Word above all else.

Just before Christmas, I bought myself a new Bible.  The one I'd had since before Trey and I were married was huge and heavy, had barely survived two puppies, and my children had torn out half of 2 Chronicles.

It was O.K. though, because I have that book memorized.

Anyway, I bought a new, smaller Bible that I could carry around with me without the need for a backpack or wagon.  Shortly after I made my purchase, however, the lovely people at Zondervan sent me this to review and enjoy at my leisure.

Yeah, I don't has it.

Thankfully, that's the whole point of this Bible.  Carpools don't stop, projects are due, and noses are always runny but even in our busyness as moms, we need the Word more than anything - even Diet Coke.  It's true.   That's why they are introducing this edition.  The Busy Mom's Bible is an NIV translation bible with the addition of one-minute "Thought Starters", five-minute "Reflect and Pray" devotions, or ten-minute mini "Studies" to help you navigate God's Word.  It's leather-bound in pink and brown and weighs far less than a small child which is great because we're already carrying those around.

And, since I have a brand new Bible, I'm sharing this one with one of you!

Just post a comment and you'll be entered to win.  I'll announce the winners next Tuesday, April 13th.

Good Luck!

pick me :-)

I'm so disappointed that you've only memorized 1 Chronicles . . . you need to step it up and just rip out a few more books :-)

My kids tore out 2 Corinthians and my puppy drooled all over my leather Bible cover. Can't I have anything?

Have mercy on me and PICK ME.

I'd love to try this out.

Had to laugh about the 1/2 of Chronicles being ripped out. Most Bibles have such thin pages that they can be ripped out way faster than most moms can move :-) And ripping paper is such a delightful sound to children. *sigh*

Love the Bible. Mine is falling apart and smells funny. Although I have another one but my husband mocks me when I take it to Bible Study because it weighs 362 lbs.

I am lacking in the leisure department too. I guess a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old will do that to you.
Pick me, please!!! I so need this!

Hoodmama! Carly Pickens' friend Kirsti, here--yes, I've read every one of your blog entries, and no, I've never commented. Horrible, I know. I was inspired today, though, out of what can only be described as my desire to SELFLESSLY give a gift to a friend who just had a child and prove that I am better than all her other friends. I joke. But she really did have a baby and I'd love to give this to her. :)

Oh, this would be a great giveaway. I keep 'borrowing' my husband's smaller Bible because mine is toooooo big and heavy. With a baby and diaper bag and stuff, a smaller one would be great.

I could pretend it was a 40th bday gift (I leave my 30s tomorrow).
